He is learning a ton that he can tell you about. For example, just yesterday, they: 1) learned how to shoot at an angle (for example, Hawaii SWAT is on the 16th floor of a hotel and there is a ground level hostage situation. Normal distance calculation said the shot would be 160 feet. They showed them that they actually need to plan about a 20 foot shot - since the shot is pretty much straight down, gravity does the rest.) 2) learned to shoot at a moving target 3) shot at targets 700 yards (he was one of three who hit a "kill shot" with his first shot) and 900 yards (9 football fields!) 4) learned to shoot at moving targets and 5) learned to use the sling to tie the gun to his left arm and drop to either a prone, sitting, or kneeling firiing position (so the instructor says "prone" and he can go to the ground, flat on his stomach, ready to fire (he said these "hurt" and his firing wasn't very accurate because of all the movement).
This was just one day. He has learned like this every day and they have nicknamed him "college kid".
Just wanted to give you an update. Hi Eden! Hi Brock!
Love, Dad.
