First snow

We had our first taste of 'winter weather' last week.

Football Banquet

LCA had their end of the year banquet last week. Brock introduced all of the JV players and did a great job of encouraging them.

Brock and I:

Brock and Patrick Kelly (he just signed to play for LU!):

Brock and Coach Rocco (a great mentor and friend):

Coach Farrel giving his "speech":

Eden's ready for a night at the Morris'. They watched her while we were at the banquet:

Autum and her son, Wyatt. Autum's husband is the Athletic Trainer for LCA.

Coach Pogue (aka Mitch) and his wife, Melissa.

So long November...

I can't believe that it's December already. I wish I could say that so much has been happening around our house, but the truth is, it hasn't. Ever since football ended a few weeks ago, we've just been hanging out and enjoying eachothers company.

Brock went to Washington DC last week for the ACSI convention. While he was gone, I went through all of Eden's baby clothes. Every time I turned around, she was either in or on something.

We went up to Northern Virginia for Thanksgiving to see my college roommate, Kristen, and her family. We drove up to her grandparents in Baltimore, MD, for the actual meal. It was a blast.

Basket fun

We went over to a friends house for a pre-Thanksgiving Dinner on Saturday night. Eden managed to find the basket that was next to the entertainment center. Before we knew it, she had taken everything out and gotten in it. But, then she was stuck :)

The toilet!

How cool is this!
I found an awesome place, the toilet, to wash my toys :)
A long time along Miss Cindie nicknamed me Curious George. Well I definitely lived up to my name this morning.
Yuck!!! So sorry, MOM :(
I love you bunches and bunches,
Eden

PS. By-the-way, Miss Cindie did give me a total scrub down and I'm now squeaky CLEAN!!!!!

Trip to Phoenix

I took Eden to Phoenix for 5 days while Brock stayed in Lynchburg. We had an eventful trip.

Flight to Phoenix: departs from Raleigh Durham at 10:40am

6:45 am- I'm frantically grabbing my luggage, the child, the food, the keys, and trying to get out the door.
6:53 am- left the house, a little later than anticipated.
7:29 am- realized I forgot my cell phone
7:58 am- the sun is now shining directly in Edens eyes. she's screaming.
8:17 am- pull into McDonalds parking lot to change the poopy diaper that I can smell from the front seat. I changed her in the car, laying cockeyed in half of the backseat.
9:01 am- get a flat tire in the middle of no where. literally.
9:03 am- Steve, our guardian angel, pulls over and helps me change it.
9:23 am- back on the road. the airport is 45 minutes away.
10:09 am- pull up to curbside checkin. the agent is slow as molasses. I have my legs permanently crossed from the liter of water I drank on the way down.
10:17 am- come to a screeching halt in the gas station parking lot. leave Eden in the car. go to the bathroom-- finally!
10:22 am- board the shuttle at the park and ride to get back to the airport.
10:30 am- run to the security line.
10:31 am- undress Eden (shoes & jacket), undress me, get the laptop, formula, snacks, etc out of the backpack.
10:36 am- try to grab everything, including the child that has wandered off.
10:38 am- arrive at the gate, out of breath, the plane has already been locked. they let us on.
10:40 am- we must take the first seat available. we snuggle in between two elderly people. yes, we took the middle seat between a married couple.
10:45 am- Eden freaks out because she's been in the car for over 3 hours and is now locked on my lap.

The next 4 hours have been erased from my memory :)

Eventually, we made it it Phoenix. The moral of the story is... NEVER travel alone!!

Long Awaited Post....

It's been busy around the Farrel household.

1. I am on a first name basis with the exterminator-- for rats. Yes, rats. We have trapped 2 adults and 6 young ones over the past three weeks. It's nasty. However, Terry, the exterminator, has been a great help.
2. Eden is running. and climbing. on everything.
3. I can get her to do anything for a goldfish.
4. Brock is half-way through football season. Both JV and varsity teams are undefeated.
5. I finished my first two MBA courses!
6. Eden and I are going to Phoenix next week- just for fun :)

Here are some pictures of the recent events:

Eden is reading her card from Jordan Simpson. Thanks Kellen and Sierra for the outfit!

E loves: nakedness. baby dolls. empty boxes.

And we all love our Chargers... go LT!

Pasta!

Iain fell and got his first black eye. Eden was comforting him at Miss Cindies :)
