Life is in full swing:
1. Brock is back at LCA this year. He is teaching keyboarding, business math and sport management, and coaching football.
2. He is leading Bible study for our church and attending the weekly men's group.
3. I'm still working full-time at LU.
4. I started taking two MBA courses a few weeks ago. They're 8 weeks long, which makes them quite demanding.
5. Eden is walking everywhere.
6. Brock has games on Thursday and Friday nights, both of which Eden and I attend.
7. We carpool to work/school. This means that we leave the house at 7:00am. I drop him off at LCA at 7:10am. I drop Eden off at 7:25am. I make it back to LU (LCA and LU are attached) at 7:45am. (My parking spot at LU that is now so far away from my office building that I have to ride the bus.) I wait 5 minutes at the bus stop. I board the bus at 7:50 and arrive in front of my office at 7:56am. I'm 4 minutes early every day! (and tired from the aforementioned events)
8. Eden turns 1 in five days!

Mommy's Helper?
I was unloading the dishwasher last night and I burst into laughter. Something went through the wash/rinse/dry cycles that wasn't supposed to, but it survived.

Yes, that is the lotion from my purse. She is enthralled with putting things inside other things. I need to number all of my personal items so I can keep track of everything.

So cute :)
Eden goes to bed around 7:30pm every night. On occasion, Brock or I will go in to check on her before we to bed. This is what we found last night. (Notice the leg placement)

If Eden is up in the morning while I'm getting ready, then I'll let her play in the bathroom. This morning she was so tired that she just stood there for about 5 minutes. I had enough time to go get the camera and come back. She's so cute in her PJ's!

Still learning
Bananas and sippie cups. Not a hard task to master, one would think. But, did you know that there is wrong way to drink a sippie cup? If you put the piece in your mouth but the cups upside down, nothing comes out. This happens every time. When I go to lift it, she completely lets go.
Bananas... they go down whole. Well, at least she tries. The more she can fit in her mouth, the better they taste.

Books
Eden loves book, but not for the normal reasons. The "First Animals" book is missing it's spine. She managed to slowly chew it to shreds. The same goes for another animal book. Paper is techinally fiber, right? Her "Elmo" book has a pop-up Elmo in the back. Her ultimate goal in life right now is to rip the Elmo out. She has some pretty quick reflexes, but we've managed to keep Elmo in tact so far. All of the other books get thrown off the shelf and then crawled/walked all over.
We won't be visiting the library anytime soon.

New Videos!
I posted new videos on You Tube. There's one of her walking and one of her funny face. They are directly to the left under "Videos."
Enjoy!

TGIF
Brock started football this week. So many guys showed up for fall camp that they are actually going to have to cut about 20 kids this year. That's a huge difference from the shortage of guys that they had last year.
Eden is walking all over the place, at her leisure. The funny part is that she usually has to have something in her hands: her shoe, a toy, the spatula, a coaster, the remote. She screamed bloody murder yesterday when we put her shoes on her. I think that's going to be a slow adjustment. Any suggestions from the moms out there? I was thinking sandals first...?
We've made the transition to real food- sippy cup and all. She loves bananas, avocados, ham, bread, yogurt and cheerios (by the handful). We're still working on the veggies... broccoli gives her the toots...
Oh, and she has discovered her pointer finger. Not only is she pointing at everything, but she is also sucking/chewing on that finger. Who needs a thumb when you've got an index finger that's twice as long?
Here are a few pitures from daycare and around the house this week. I'll try to put a video of her walking on here this weekend.
