Eden's Vacation

Our daycare provider is taking two weeks off, so Eden is spending the time with her grandparents. This week she is in Phoenix with my parents and next week she’ll be in San Diego with Brock’s parents. Talk about spoiled!

We drove her down to Raleigh, NC, to meet my parents this past weekend. They flew her back to AZ. Here are some pictures of the fun so far:

Easter!

We went to church and then took Eden swimming in Nana's pool at the Wingate. It was so much fun!

A busy month

We've been busy. Thus, the lack of blog posts. Over the past few weeks:

1. Eden started potty training.

2. Our downstairs room flooded, which Brock had to gut to the studs. (and move everything into our dining room!)

3. We determined that water is coming in from outside. We had to dig a new trench and create a new drainage system.

4. Eden had her first fiasco. She fell in the weight room at LCA and cut her lip. She had to get two stitches :(

5. I'm currently enrolled in 3 grad school courses.

6. Brock is 3 weeks away from getting his MEd!

7. I started training for a 10K on Memorial Day.

8. Eden's favorite words are "mine" and "up pweez."

9. I converted to re-usable grocery bags. No more "paper or plastic" decisions.

We got a foot of snow on Sunday night. This is what it looked like when we got up this morning: (I also posted a new video on the left)

Amy Barba

Amy Barba is the daughter of our daycare provider, Cindie. Amy and Chris are expecting a baby at the end of April. However, she has toxemia and has been admitted to the hospital. Amy is only 31 weeks and they want her to get to 36 weeks before they take the baby. Please keep her in your prayers.

Love and Respect

Right after we watched the movie Fireproof, I was reading a friends blog and she raved about this book. I've been reading it over the past few weeks and it has changed how I view our relationship. The premise of the book is that men NEED to be respected and women NEED to be loved. It's such a simple concept, yet easily neglected in relationships today. I would encourage all of you to read it!
